This year’s Cirrus Owners & Pilots Association
Migration (M8) in Dayton, June 17-19, is quickly turning into the
“First R9 Migration,” with the arrival of a whole host
of R9-equipped aircraft, R9 training session, and plenty of other
Avidyne-related activities.
Aircraft & Demos at M8

with their newly-upgraded R9 airplanes, the folks at Next Dimension
will be bringing their R9-equipped “WORPE 9” Cirrus,
and NexAir plans to bring its R9-equipped PA-32 Saratoga. Extra
plans to make the U.S. premier of its R9-equipped Extra 500 Spirit
at M8, and Avidyne plans to debut a 2-screen R9 PA-46 Matrix
retrofit aircraft.
Extra 500--R9 Style
Plus Piper Aircraft is an M8 Platinum sponsor this year, and
they are continuing to offer new Entegra-equipped PA-46 aircraft
with a coupon for a $50K Release 9 upgrade. Avidyne will also have
two ground-based R9 demo systems on the exhibit floor, and R9
Product Manager Mike Ingram and other Avidyne staffers will be
available to answer any questions you may have.
ANFST members Matt McDaniel, Trip Taylor, and Carol Jensen will
be flying R9 Demos all throughout the show. If you would like to
schedule an R9 demo flight, please contact Reid Antonacchio at

More about Avidyne National Flight Standards Team R9 Training
at COPA M8:
Avidyne's Entegra Release 9 system has been widely and
enthusiastically received throughout the industry and is rapidly
becoming the benchmark for advanced integrated flight systems and
for its ease of use.
To ensure Cirrus owners enjoy the full system capabilities and
the associated flight safety, the Avidyne National Flight Standards
Team (ANFST) has formed to provide R9 customers with a high level
of professional pilot training that you won’t want to
miss.
This seminar will focus on a full systems operational review
and, drawing on the extensive experience of this select independent
group of professional flight instructors, will share IFR safety and
procedural tips utilizing this amazing integrated flight deck
system.
