Kevin O'Keefe, the son of former NASA Administrator Sean O'Keefe, was released from Providence Alaska Medical Center on Tuesday night. The elder O'Keefe remains hospitalized.

The Fairbanks Daily News-Miner reports that Kevin O'Keefe said he is thankful for the outpouring of support following the accident. Both Keven and Sean were among 9 people on board the Otter when it went down on their way to a fishing lodge near Dillingham, Alaska. Five people, including former Alaska Senator Ted Stevens, were killed when the plane went down in poor weather last week.

One other passenger, lobbyist Jim Morhard, also remains in the hospital.
