“Air shows and the experiences young people have at air shows are a driving force behind attracting the next generation of pilots. With 14 percent of adult air show spectators between the ages of 18 and 25, the industry can clearly influence whether someone decides to explore aviation as a career.”

Source: ICAS President John Cudahy, in comments related to the EAA Report that noted how airshows can attract people to become more directly involved in aviation. This message is needed at a time when some airshows are giving way to concerns about the cost of producing them.
