Classic Aero-TV: Sandia Aerospace -- A Quiet Success Story

A Closer Look At Some Of The (Many) Good Folks That Keep GA Alive!

FROM 2010: As previously noted, we have great respect for the folks at Sandia Aerospace... a little company that plugs along building great gear with not nearly enough fanfare... and providing excellent values, to boot.

Sandia Aerospace was founded in 1997 by a group of avionics professionals to provide high quality avionics products to General, Corporate and Regional airline markets.

Major product offerings include the company's SAE 5-35 Altitude Encoder, SAC 7-35 Airdata Computer, Avionics Cooling Fans, and MARC 70 interface modules. Sandia products are offered worldwide by both avionics modification centers and aircraft manufactures.

Most recently, the Albuquerque, New Mexico company branched out into a line of its own products, starting with the STX-165 Transponder, which debuted at AirVenture 2010 at Oshkosh.

The STX 165 Sports a professional 1/2 3ATI Bezel that compliments any aircraft panel. Its bright OLED display is readable in virtually all lighting conditions and automatically dims for night time operations.
