Centurion Adds Service Centers For Diesel Engines

Company Claims 75 Service Centers In The U.S.

The service network for Centurion Aircraft Engines was strengthened Tuesday by the appointment of several new FBOs, primarily in North America, along with Scheiling Aircraft Service which was named the 40th Service Center in Germany.

"We reached additional milestones in our service, with the main focus being on the North American market," said Jasper M. Wolffson, CEO of Centurion Aircraft Engines AG & Co. KG. "Our warehouse in Dallas, Texas, has been further stocked up during the last weeks with the arrival of new gearboxes and clutches as well as gearbox oil, thus ensuring its availability in the U.S. We also authorized three more FBOs as Service Centers. In North America we now have 75 Service Centers, out of a total of 320 FBOs in our worldwide network including our newest member Scheiling Aircraft Service."

"In the year 2010 160 seminar participants have been trained on how to maintain Centurion engines in our courses in Dallas and Lichtenstein (Germany), and the remainder of 2011 training seminars, which will be held in Lichtenstein in February and May as well as in Dallas in March, are already well booked. Also, I am pleased that we have found another partner who is taking care especially of the Robin Ecoflyer with the 155 hp Centurion 2.0s. It is the Finch Aircraft distributor MAS Maintenance Air Service GmbH of Leutkirch, Germany," Wolffson added.

Key milestones have already been achieved in the service campaign. The service life of the engine has been extended to 1,500 hours, and the 1,2000 hour factory inspection has been eliminated. All authorized Centurion Service Centers can perform the 1,200-hours inspection of the Centurion 2.0.
