ASA-Sporty’s Partnership Offers CFI, ATP Training Courses

Brand-New Offerings Incorporate Multiple Sources For Initial Applicants

A partnership between Aviation Supplies & Academics (ASA) and Sporty’s Pilot Shop has developed a brand new set of course offerings for initial applicants for the CFI Airplane, CFI Instrument, and Airline Transport Pilot certificates. The courses combine information from multiple sources to provide a comprehensive preparation for both knowledge and oral exams.

The courses are intended to educate the next generation of flight instructors and airline pilots, and are now available through the Sporty’s Pilot Training app and online.

The Flight Instructor Checkride and Test Prep Course(for CFI, CFII, FOI) incorporates Instructor Pilot/CFI Prepware, The Flight Instructor’s Manual textbook by Bill Kershner, and the Flight Instructor Oral Exam Guide by Michael Hayes. Those have been blended to provide realistic scenario-based training and purposeful concept insights that go far beyond rote memorization.

The ATP Knowledge Test and Checkride Prep Course integrates ATP Prepware, The Pilot’s Manual: ATP textbook and the ATP Oral Exam Guide by Jason Blair that gets applicants prepared for the FAA testing that follows the ATP certification training program (ATP/CTP).

The courses are compiled and designed specifically for initial applicants for CFI Airplane, CFI Instrument, and Airline Transport Pilot certification. The content focuses on deep understanding and instructional proficiency through scenario-based questions, preparation for the knowledge and oral exams, tracking analytics to follow the student’s progress, and more.

The courses are, of course, meant to supplement in-person training done at flight schools to prepare applicants for the FAA exams. Both ASA and Sporty’s have decades of experience in instructional design and these courses bring solid and comprehensive preparation for certification.

The courses are available online and in Sporty’s Pilot Training app. Applicants can access them with their iPhone, iPad, Mac, Android, AppleTV, Roku, FireTV, AndroidTV, or Chromecast.
