The two men seriously injured Thursday then the privately-owned HH-60L Black Hawk helicopter they were aboard went down in Moore County, TN near Tullahoma have been identified by authorities.

The Tennessean newspaper reports that the two men are 70-year-old Jack Cook of Ozark, AL and 69-year-old Larry Cornell of New Brockton, AL. Both worked for Enterprise, AL-based Arista Aviation Services.

The two men are described as retired Army aviators who have extensive Black Hawk helicopter experience. They joined Arista Aviation Services in 2015, according to the company.

The aircraft went down in a remote area about 5 miles outside Tullahoma at around 1500 local time Thursday afternoon. The cause of the accident is not known.

In a news release, Arista president and CEO Rich Enderle expressed appreciation to the first responders whom he said saved the pilot's lives. They were both being treated at Vanderbilt University Hospital, and were listed in Stable condition at last report.

Arista is an FAA Part 145 Repair Station, provides complete UH-1 and UH-60 Black Hawk helicopters maintenance and upgrades to aircraft purchased from the U.S. Army’s divestiture program, as well as for customers that already own the aircraft, according to the company.
