Steve Dickson To Be Keynote Speaker At NBAA

The Event Welcomes Dickson Back To Share Insights

The National Business Aviation Association reveals that FAA Administrator Steve Dickson will be a Day One Keynote speaker at the 2021 NBAA Business Aviation Convention & Exhibition, which takes place in Las Vegas, NV on October 12-14, 2021.

“NBAA is pleased to welcome once again Administrator Dickson to NBAA-BACE,” said NBAA President and CEO Ed Bolen. “His insights into issues that impact business aviation, such as safety, sustainability, diversity and innovation, are always of the utmost interest to our attendees.”

In 2019, Dickson attended the convention where he presented at Careers in Business Aviation Day, speaking with high school students about the bright future of a career in aviation. Later, he spoke at the National Safety Forum, providing insights on business aviation safety.

Dickson joined in on NBAA’s Virtual Business Aviation Town Hall last year, and discussed operational and safety issues such as the Pilots Record Database with Bolen.

Additionally, Dickson’s background includes sitting as Delta Air Lines senior vice president of global flight operations across six continents. The position required training, technical support, staffing, scheduling, quality assurance and regulatory compliance for more than 13,000 pilots. Dickson is a longtime captain for the company, and a graduate of the US Air Force Academy, and graduate of the Georgia State University College of Law, magna cum laude. In the past, he was a F-15 pilot, who has served as chairman of several industry stakeholder groups and federal advisory committees.

On August 12, 2019, Dickson was sworn in for a five-year term as FAA administrator, where he oversees the agency’s $16.4 billion-dollar budget and more than 47,000 employees.
