Van’s Offering Pre-Built Fuel Tanks

Available For RV-10, 14/14A Models

Van’s Aircraft, provider of kit-built aircraft, announced it is now offering pre-built fuel tanks for the RV-10 and RV-14/14A models to help builders complete their build easier and faster.

The new option lets builders avoid one of the more complex parts of the process and keeps the project moving forward.

Assembling fuel tanks can be time-consuming, and based on feedback from airshows, phone calls, and surveys, the company created this new option. The pre-built tanks are inspected and tested at the factory prior to shipping to the customer.

The tanks are sold only as a complete set, and there are some limitations to be eligible for this option.

  • Builders are eligible for the upgrade only if they have not yet received a final payment request on an existing standard wing kit order.
  • QuickBuild Orders are not eligible for the upgrade. QuickBuild orders cannot be canceled and/or switched to a standard wing kit order with the pre-built fuel tank option. QuickBuild kits are already in production and those orders cannot be modified.

  • For customers who have already received their wing kit and wish to upgrade to pre-built fuel tanks, the price is $4,460. Van’s cannot accept returns or give credit for standard fuel tank parts.
  • New orders or open orders for wing kits upgrading to the pre-built tanks the price is $3,795. The price is lower because some fuel tank components are included in the wing kit price.

The pre-built fuel tanks are now in stock and available for purchase through the RV-10 and RV-14/14A kit order forms and on the website.

Van’s Aircraft has been a supplier of kit-built aircraft since 1972 beginning with the RV-3 aircraft designed and manufactured in Reedville, Oregon, by Richard VanGrunsven.
