Textron Reveals Damocles Launched Effects System

Strategic Attack, Electronic Warfare, ISR As Air Or Ground Payload

Textron Systems announced the introduction of Damocles Launched Effect, its cutting-edge system designed to deliver a strategic advantage in warfare environments. Its GEN2 Explosively Formed Penetrator (EFP) can deliver top-attack, electronic warfare, and intelligence-surveillance-reconnaissance capabilities deployed as either a ground- or air-delivered payload.

The Damocles LE is equipped with autonomous tracking ability and advanced AI, and provides operators with advanced capabilities yet keeping the human in the loop for decision making and mission supervision.

The unitary precision munition yields accurate targeting and is highly effective in mission-critical situations. The Damocles also has a very low acoustic signature that enhances stealth and reduces detectability during operations.

The Damocles system also includes features that prevent unexploded ordnance and reduce the risk of hazards on the battlefield.

The MOSA, or modular open systems architecture of the Damocles LE allows the integration of a variety of payloads to support different mission objectives such as electronic warfare effects.

Henry Finneral, Senior Vice President of Weapon Systems said, “Textron Systems is the industry leader in EFP technologies, and the Damocles LE builds on our decades of experience to provide next-generation technology to the warfighter. We stand ready to provide our cost-effective solution at speed and at scale to provide mission support to the joint forces and allied nations.”
