Aero-News Quote of the Day

"I had the headset on, so I didn't hear it very clearly. But it sounded sort of like a drum. It sounds sort of like a sheet of something being bent."

Source: ISS Cosmonaut Alexander Kaleri, describing to ground controllers a strange noise heard aboard the station Friday. It's the second time a mystery sound has startled the crew of Mission 8 and appears to have originated in the same area as the first sound, four months ago. A daring two-man spacewalk to find the source of the odd noise was cut short in February, when Kaleri's suit malfunctioned. NASA says all systems appear to be working normally in spite of the noise.
