John Cudahy Reappointed President Of ICAS

"It's Great To Be Back"

He's back on the job. John Cudahy, who served as president of the International Council of Air Shows (ICAS) from 1997 to 2006, has been reappointed to that position. He succeeds Bruce Wilson, who served as ICAS president since April 2006.

Cudahy (right), involved in organizational and managerial roles for nearly 25 years, will also serve as chief staff officer of the 40-year old air show trade association.

"John brings a unique combination of association management and air show experience to ICAS," said ICAS board chairman Jim Peitz. "ICAS, already a powerful voice and strong advocate for air show professionals, will benefit tremendously from John's leadership experience, enthusiasm and vision.

"We're glad to have him back," Peitz added.

Most recently, Cudahy was executive director of the American Medical Student Association -- a group of 65,000 physicians-in-training based in Reston, VA. Before joining ICAS in 1997, Cudahy worked at the National Pest Management Association as its director of marketing. He was also a vice-president at the William C. Pflaum Company, and association management company with several clients in the packaging industry.

"It's an exciting and challenging time for the air show industry," Cudahy said. "I'm eager to tackle both the challenges that our industry faces and the opportunities that we have to improve this wonderful business. It's great to be back."
