ScaleWings Carbon Fiber P-51 Replica Inbound to Sun 'n FUN!

Attendees Have a Rare Chance To See Mustang Remakes Side to Side, Compare Aircraft in Person Along Mustang Alley

German manufacturer ScaleWings has announced their first US showing of their brand new, carbon fiber replica of the P-51 Mustang at this year's Sun 'n Fun 2022.

Their rendition of the legendary fighter, the SW-51 is a 70% scale, full-carbon replica, lovingly crafted to strike the perfect balance between capability, replication, and appearance. ScaleWings put as much work as possible into their molds, forms, and designs, making the final product look nothing like the average composite kit plane. Each piece of the SW-51 will be there to look, feel, and see for the first time stateside. Sun 'n Fun will see the best build of the aircraft, one made with a special aluminum paint scheme that hearkens back to the coloration seen on the shining silver fighters in the waning days of the war.

The SW-51 will be found in the Light Sport & Experimental area of Sun 'n Fun, parked in 'Mustang Alley' alongside their friend and Mustang competitor, Titan Aircraft. Titan's all-metal T-51 will be right next door, allowing prospective owners a chance to see two of the industry's best homages back to back and side to side. ScaleWings has a friendly relationship with Titan, joining hands earlier this year to allow Titan to handle sales, support, and build assistance for the SW-51 at its Austinburg, Ohio facility.

Those at Sun 'n Fun will be able to partake in daily photo sessions for attendees, a wonderful chance to try on the ScaleWings for size, sit in the cockpit, and come away with a picture that could very well conflagrate into a full SW-51 build by next year's Sun 'n Fun.
