Lancair Up For Sale At A Bargain Price

But Company Wants To Assure The New Owner Will Continue The Tradition

If you've ever wanted to own an airplane company, this could be a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity.

Lancair is for sale. The entire company is being offered for $695,000 ... for nearly everything.

In an email announcing that Lancair is out of production and for sale, the company said "before you get too excited that we are willing to sell millions of dollars of inventory, intellectual development engineering of over 30 years, a profitable $650,000 per year business (2016), and direct access to over 2000 kits customers, I need to make sure you understand that the price is not our most important criteria.

"We are only willing to transfer this opportunity to a buyer who is willing to invest their time and resources into building on our 30+ years of work. There are many opportunities included in the business and finding the right buyer that will care for our customers is our top priority."

The company says it has spent months separating and organizing all parts so new owners can easily verify all parts and prepare for moving. Parts, molds, fixtures, layup schedules, and drawings for the 320, 360, Legacy, and all IV models.

The only thing that is not included in the offering are the Evolution parts and assets.

Lancair is also willing to help the buyer through transition to continue sales and support until the new owner is up and running.
