Delta Jets Bump On Logan Taxiway

Boeing 767 Wing Struck Regional Jet Tail Thursday

Two Delta Airlines jets collided while taxiing at Logan International Airport in Boston Thursday evening, causing damage to both aircraft and one possible injury.

According to the NTSB, the wing of a Boeing 767 departing for Amsterdam clipped the tail of an Atlantic Southwest Airlines Bombardier CRJ900 regional jet heading for Raleigh/Durham NC on a Delta codeshare. Reuters reports that the 767 had 204 passengers and 11 crew members on board, while there were 77 people aboard the regional jet.

Only one passenger on board the regional jet complained of a possible neck injury after the accident, and was taken to a local hospital for observation.

The larger airplane reportedly taxied back to a gate under its own power. Passengers from the regional jet were bused back to the terminal.
