FlytBase Links Decrease Friction in Drone Operations

Drone App Offers Easy Integration for Enterprise Add-Ons

FlytBase, a platform designed to support and coordinate enterprise drone operations, has announced the addition of 'Flinks', or FlytBase Links, an API allowing third party applications and devices to work with the app and expand their scope of business capabilities.

Flink acts as a unifying layer, where organizations can "create end-to-end automated workflows and conduct fully autonomous, safe, and efficient drone operations. FlytBase knows that its biggest and most active commercial users have to herd a lot of cats when flying for pay, planning out their operations, checking legality, ensuring traffic awareness, maintaining their aircraft, and fulfilling the mission. The firm says that the lack of full, seamless integration between so many disparate systems greatly increases the risk of accidents. Even post-flight data recovery is risky in its own way, since manual SD card handling can alway corrupt or lose the fruits of a successful flight before it can be analyzed or uploaded.

To simplify integration, FlytBase separates integrations into 6 types: Alarms, Data Processing, Live Streaming, Mission & Logs, Detect & Avoid, and Uncrewed Traffic Management Systems. Those who want to work with the Flinks platform can develop software like Video Management Systems, data processing, obstacle avoidance, and parachute systems already added to the list of 'flinks'.

“We are introducing Flinks to bridge this gap between the enterprise stack and drone operations," said Nitin Gupta, founder & CEO of FlytBase. "It allows users to effortlessly connect the FlytBase platform with critical business systems such as alarm systems, video management, data processing, and more. By eliminating the need for complex, time-consuming manual interventions, Flinks enables enterprises to seamlessly incorporate autonomous drones into their existing operations. Moreover, enterprises with unique needs can build their own integrations with just a few clicks, without the need for complex code."
