AIR Avionics Partners With Mid-Continent To Launch In U.S.

Global Expansion Of German Company Targets GA Market

AIR Avionics, a German developer of compact avionics systems, announced its entry into the U.S. general aviation market, and also named Mid-Continent Instruments and Avionics its U.S. distributor and exclusive Authorized Service Partner.

The partnership marks the initial launch of its innovative radio, multifunction display, and ADS-B traffic warning system in the U.S.

Marc Forderer, Chief Operating Officer of AIR Avionics said, “Our mission at AIR Avionics is to make flying simpler, more intuitive, and above all, safer. Fueled by our passion for aviation, we design and build products for pilots — by pilots. This partnership now lets us bring those products to the U.S. aviation community, supported by Mid-Continent Instruments and Avionics’ unmatched technical expertise.”

AIR Avionics products now available in the U.S. include:

  • AIR Com:  Smallest fully TSO-certified aircraft radio in the world
  • AIR Control Display:  Intuitive multifunction display designed for seamless operation
  • AIR Traffic:  Comprehensive situational awareness and traffic warning system

AIR Avionics has two locations in southwestern Germany and designs and manufactures its products and systems entirely in-house. The company focuses on simplicity, clarity, and safety.

Van Winter, Senior Vice President of Sales and Marketing for Mid-Continent Instruments and Avionics, said, “This collaboration allows us to offer our customers access to AIR Avionics’ remarkable product line. We’re proud to serve as the exclusive U.S. service partner and to support AIR Avionics’ expansion with the level of technical care and responsiveness that both our companies are known for.”
