Doroni Aerospace introduced its showroom model, digital replica, and 1:1 scale propulsion system to investors during a webinar Q&A on the crowdfunding platform StartEngine. The Florida venture's H1 is an electric, multirotor vertical takeoff aircraft with seating for 2, geared at tackling the urban air mobility market. The company shared a portion of its beliefs for the future, saying that the H1 will find interested buyers in public services, regulatory agencies, civilian, and law enforcement. 

After Medical and Religious Exemption Requests are Denied, Airmen Must Choose

The Air Force has released its procedures for those airmen and guardians with denied requests for medical, religious, or administrative exemptions to the COVID-19 vaccination requirement. Once their request has been refused, they have 5 days to become vaccinated, file an appeal, request separation, or begin retirement. Once their appeal to retire, separate, or be exempted is denied as well, they have 5 days to become vaccinated. If they refuse the vaccine at that point, then according to Secretary of the Air Force Frank Kendall, they "will be subject to the initiation of administrative discharge".

Pilots Aiding Their Forcibly-Quarantined Comrades During "Oppressive" Hong Kong Lockdowns 

Cathay Pacific pilots have been recognized by the IFALPA for their support of fellow Hong Kong-based employees subjected to forced, government run, mandatory quarantine upon entry into the country. The natural conditions of work for airline crew have resulted in a near perennial isolation, with a number of pilots and their families included due to their close proximity. IFALPA brought attention to the support rendered by the Cathay employee family, saying they “provided countless care packages, food, essential appliances, and other necessities to their quarantining colleagues.”

The Spartan College of Aeronautics and Technology announced its recent addition of an Aviation Maintenance Technician Pathway with Skywest Airlines. The partnership will allow aspirant techs to get a leg up on their career as commercial aviation A&P technicians. Students who join the program qualify for certain benefits, offering mentoring by more experienced mechanics, earlier seniority than street hires, up to $4,500 in education assistance, and a guaranteed job interview after graduation.  

Experimental Aviation Association and the Academy of Model Aeronautics Now Sharing Museum Privileges

The organizations notified their membership bodies that they now share free admission between each museum under their purview. Free admission to the EAA Aviation Museum in Oshkosh, Wisconsin, as well as the National Model Aviation Museum in Muncie, Indiana will allow active members of either organization to enter either free of charge. EAA's yearly AirVenture has created a summertime aerospace holy land for aircraft enthusiasts of all stripes, with their local museum showing off more than 100 aircraft on display, including vintage pioneers, classic warbirds, and experimental game-changers throughout the ages.

Fragments Of The Airplane Were Scattered About 200 Ft Upslope From The Main Wreckage

On November 20, 2021, about 1656 Pacific standard time, an experimental amateur-built GlasAir III N291KT, was destroyed when it was involved in an accident near San Bernardino, California. The pilot was fatally injured. The airplane was operated as a Title 14 Code of Federal Regulations (CFR) Part 91 personal flight. The pilot was noticed missing on November 21, 2021, and a search for the airplane began. Subsequently, the airplane wreckage was located near the summit of San Bernardino Peak. Minimum Vectoring Altitude (MVA) The lowest MSL altitude at which an IFR aircraft will be vectored by a radar controller, except as otherwise authorized for radar approaches, departures, and missed approaches. The altitude meets IFR obstacle clearance criteria. It may be lower than the published MEA along an airway or J-route segment. It may be utilized for radar vectoring only upon the controller’s determination that an adequate radar return is being received from the aircraft being controlled. Charts depicting minimum vectoring altitudes are normally available only to the controllers and not to pilots.
