Swift Engineering has flown the first fully autonomous flight demonstration in the port city of Kobe, Japan. NASA’s Flight Opportunities Program has selected four companies to integrate and fly technology payloads on commercial suborbital reusable platforms that carry payloads near the boundary of space. Flight Lasted About 10 Minutes Showing Multiple Capabilities

Hindustan Aeronautics Limited (HAL) has demonstrated a 22-pound rotary-wing unmanned aerial vehicle (RUAV) in the presence of its board of directors. The RUAV features a 2-stroke gasoline engine; twin blade main rotor and tail rotor; payload capability of 5.5 pounds, including live stream video camera; and range of the vehicle is 4.8 to 5.3 nautical miles with an endurance of one hour.

Investigation Begins Into Banner-Tow Accident In Alabama

Two People On Board Were Fatally Injured

The NTSB has opened an investigation into an accident which occurred in Foley, AL Saturday involving a banner-tow aircraft. The plane was involved in a loss-of-control accident and impacted terrain at about 8:20 a.m. local time, resulting in the fatal injury of the two people on board. A post-impact fire destroyed most of the aircraft.
