German Prop Manufacturer Shows Off At SUN 'n FUN

Helix Propeller's Business Unit Manager Nikolaus Von Kummer brought out some of their best work to Sun 'n Fun 2024, making a splash in the US market after building up a fanbase abroad. Helix Propellers have been a staple in the European sport market for 30 years, so they've got plenty of experience in making a lightweight, strong prop that strikes the right kind of balance with an LSA.

Helix has an affinity for glass and carbon fiber composites, well suited to the Rotax family of LSA mills.  Ground adjustable, fixed pitch, and constant speed props are all in the mix, making them an easy stop for nearly anyone looking to finish up their experimental or LSA, up to about 200 horsepower.

Helix is taking care to deepen its roots here. While it's been largely absent from the aircraft market, Helix has been a common sight in the paramotor world, so they have plenty of headway in their quest to tackle the US domestic market.
