AUVSI To Host Webinar On Commercial UAS Flight Testing

UAS Experts Will Discuss The Challenges And Benefits Of Operating At Flight Test Ranges

The Association for Unmanned Vehicle Systems International (AUVSI) will host a webinar to discuss commercial unmanned aircraft systems (UAS) flight testing, Urban Air Mobility (UAM) flight testing and the implications of these options. The webinar will take place Wednesday, Feb. 20, 2019 at 4 p.m. EST.

“Commercial UAS/UAM Flight Testing: Challenges and Opportunities,” which is sponsored by Deseret UAS and Metron Aviation, will feature a discussion on commercial UAS and UAM flight testing, the current flight-testing environment and opportunities for new UAM flight test programs. It will also provide information about testing at FAA Flight Test Ranges and alternative flight test ranges.

The webinar will feature Parimal Kopardekar, (Acting) Director of NASA Aeronautics Research Institute; Jay Merkle, Executive Director, FAA UAS Integration Office; Adam Robertson, CTO, Fortem Technologies; Rafal Kicinger, Principal Analyst, Metron Aviation; John Manning, Co-Founder, Electrafly; Robert Labelle, President, XTI Aircraft; and Tulinda Larsen, Executive Director, Deseret UAS, who will share their experiences with UAS commercial flight testing.

Registration for the webinar is complimentary for all attendees. Registration will close on Feb. 20 at 11 a.m. EST.
