GAMA Makes Appointments

Announces Vice Chair, Appoints Security Committee Chair, Approves New Member And Board Members

The Board of Directors of the General Aviation Manufacturers Association (GAMA) has appointed Jack Pelton, Chairman, President and CEO of Cessna Aircraft Company, to be the association's Vice Chairman. Mr. Pelton will also continue in his role as Chair of GAMA's Flight Operations Policy Committee.

The GAMA Board of Directors also appointed Alan Klapmeier, CEO and President of Cirrus Design Corporation, as the association's Security Issues Committee Chair. In this role, Mr. Klapmeier will guide GAMA's policy on general aviation security and work with the Department of Homeland Security, the Transportation Security Administration and the Congress.

Additionally, the GAMA Board of Directors voted Thielert Aircraft Engines (TAE) GmbH as a member company. The company will be represented by Frank Thielert, CEO and President of TAE, on the GAMA Board.

Finally, GAMA voted in six new Board Members:

  • Robert "Rob" J. Gillette, President and CEO, Honeywell Aerospace
  • Martin V. Glass, Vice President, General Manager Aircraft Engine Systems, Woodward Governor Company
  • Gretchen Jahn, Chief Executive Officer, Mooney Aerospace Group, Ltd
  • D. Scott Kalister, Vice President, Corporate Jet Sales - North America, Embraer
  • Tim Mahoney, President of Business and General Aviation, Honeywell Aerospace
  • Simon Prior, General Manager of Smiths Aerospace Mechanical Systems-Yakima
