Pan Am Flight Academy Opens Crew-Focused Training Course

Airline-Bound Airmen Invited for CRM-Focused Multi Crew Cooperation Program

Pan Am Flight Academy has introduced a new program into their offerings, the Multi Crew Cooperation (MCC) course.

The program is aimed towards international customers, complying with the requirements of South American and European regulations. Graduating pilots will be proficient in Crew Resource Management to a greater degree than single-pilot focused programs in the Pan Am portfolio, in addition focus on IFR flight common to carrier operations.

Pan Am's Multi-Crew Cooperation Course consists of 45 hours of training, which includes 25 hours of instructor-led ground training and 20 hours in a Flight Simulation Training Device. Specific course objectives include crew resource management, decision-making, task management, checklist usage, and team member support through normal, abnormal, and emergency situations.

"The aviation industry continues to demand more pilots," said Jeff Portanova, President of Pan Am Flight Academy. "At Pan Am, we continuously strive to offer courses that further enhance pilot skills and qualifications producing highly trained professionals to meet industry demands."

Would-be students must hold a valid ICAO Airman Certificate with multiengine and instrument ratings, as well as demonstrate competence in aviation English to ICAO Level 4.
