Piper Aircraft Partners With Boeing for Parts Distribution

Global Logistics Remain A Tough Nut to Crack

Piper has renewed its membership deal with Boeing to use the latter's OEM parts inventory and distribution structures, keeping the aviation giant as the exclusive distributor of key components and parts.

Boeing has actually served as the primary spares depot since 2010, when it entered into the arrangement under the Aviall name. The relationship has been quite successful on both sides: Piper keeps making the aircraft and the parts, while Boeing helps to navigate the bureaucracy of every step in the logistics chain. Under the refreshed agreement, Boeing will manage global distribution of Piper parts, keeping more than $22 million in inventory stocked and ready, keeping the world's Pipers running. Their past performance has been pretty good, with a fill rate on forecasted parts over 98%. Boeing has been quite helpful with the use of their Dallas Fort Worth warehouse location, which has given Piper a handy way to send out parts to its Piper Global Service warehouse in Germany.

“We are thrilled to grow this partnership with Boeing,” said Ron Gunnarson, VP of Sales, Marketing & Customer Support at Piper Aircraft. “This agreement underscores Piper Aircraft’s commitment to delivering exceptional quality and service in the aviation industry. In the coming year, look for improved response time and dedicated, Piper-specific CSR assistance.”

Boeing (formerly Aviall) has served as Piper’s primary spares depot since 2010. The company’s dedication to worldwide distribution and customer satisfaction aligns seamlessly with Piper’s commitment to innovation and reliability in GA manufacturing.

The partnership between Piper Aircraft and Boeing exemplifies a shared commitment to excellence, innovation, and customer satisfaction in the aviation industry. Together, both companies are poised to set new standards in aerospace distribution and service.
