Gogo Announces Membership Program for AVANCE

IFE Internet System Warranty, Rollover, and Service

Gogo Business Aviation released it's new premium membership program geared towards enhancing the protections, pricing, and warranty for users of their AVANCE and classic ATG inflight connectivity systems.

For $5,000 per year with a three-year service commitment, SmartShield provides a number of benefits for operators looking to maintain optimum performance of their Gogo systems. The program brings fixed service pricing, monthly rollover of unused data, annual overage forgiveness, expedited shipping, a 50% discount on field service engineer charges, free annual online training, and a full warranty.

The AVANCE system is Gogo's high end 4G internet connectivity system. Capable of streaming video, email, voice, inflight entertainment, and cockpit app data, it allows for a simplified internet provision up to 40 mbps. Operators can choose their desired trim levels and speeds, depending on their needs. Their Vision 360 program offers unlimited streaming of on-demand movies, TV programming, and news, as well as a tracking 3D map for a fixed monthly fee, discounted for users in the SmartShield program.

For those prospective customers who do not already use the AVANCE system, the SmartShield program brings an upgrade path offer of $10,000 installation rebate, which, combined with a $15,000 service credit toward their Gogo Biz 4G data plan, create an impressive offering for data services aloft.

Dave Glenn, VP of Customer Operations at Gogo Business Aviation, said "The value of SmartShield is significant and demonstrates our commitment to customers," Our customers told us they wanted to protect their inflight connectivity investment and with SmartShield they receive warranty protection for their equipment for as long as they are in the program. They also wanted protection against overage costs and have the ability to rollover unused megabytes of data to the following month."
