Milan Beramo Now Offering General Aviation Operations

Designed with Pilots and Passengers in Mind

Milan Bergamo Airport has launched the BGY Executive terminal, designed for general aviation and those who are flying privately to get the Prada bag they’ve always wanted…Or they’re in for a business meeting, and dealing with the terminal can be time-consuming.

For pilots flying into a busy airspace, this facility is dedicated to bringing operational efficiency and support from the time you get there til the time you’re back at the flight levels or 3000ft in your C172. BGY is open 24/7 and located near the customs gate that is completely separate from the commercial terminal. Meaning, not as congested and less taxi time. They are providing customs, direct ramp access, and private vehicle pick-up and drop-off. For crews needing a quick turnaround, it will provide exactly that. An operational win for crews and dispatchers alike. The airport is fully equipped for low-visibility approaches and supports capable aircraft, ensuring that incoming jets can land safely in suboptimal weather conditions. Whether you’re in a Citation or C172, you’ll be treated with the same welcoming approach. Someone clearly had pilots in mind when thinking about the ground support that is needed/wanted upon landing!

The two FBOs, Delta Aerotaxi and Skyservices, are already known for their hospitality commitment to general aviation. They will provide a lounge, ground services, refueling, and rest areas. Let your clients go shopping or to their business meeting while you can sit and wait comfortably! With general aviation traffic steadily increasing across all areas of the world, it’s nice to see that airports are growing with the trend. Giacomo Cattaneo, Director of Commercial Aviation, SACBO, said: “We are proud to unveil a facility dedicated entirely to general aviation, enhancing our airport’s service offering and reinforcing its strategic role in the region. With BGY EXECUTIVE, we are providing a premium, standalone terminal for private flights, supported by experienced FBOs and full collaboration from all state authorities. The growth in general aviation traffic, including long-haul routes, underlines Milan Bergamo’s position as a key logistical gateway.”
