Three Injured In Orlando Hangar Fire

Plane Caught Fire At Cessna Citation Service Center Near Orlando International Airport

A hangar fire at the Cessna Citation Service Center in Orlando, FL sent three people to the hospital Saturday.

The Orlando Sentinel reports that a spokeswoman for the business, Carolyn Fennell, said a plane caught fire shortly after 1400 EST Saturday. The fire rescue team from nearby Orlando International Airport responded to the blaze, which was contained to the airplane, Fennell said.

Three people were transported to Orlando Regional Medical Center for treatment. Fennell said that the building was not damaged, and the airplane was towed out of the hangar. Traffic at the airport was not affected.

The center services all Cessna, Beechcraft and Hawker aircraft, according to the company website.
