Liza Transport International of Burkina Faso has recently taken delivery of an AgustaWestland Grand light twin engine helicopter. The aircraft will be used for VIP/passenger transport duties. This handover marks the entrance of AgustaWestland in Burkina Faso and expands the presence of company’s helicopters in the Sub-Saharan Africa French speaking region following sales in Congo Brazzaville and Benin.

Patrick Chabrat, Vice President Sales Sub-Saharan Region, AgustaWestland said “We are happy to add another important customer which allows us to enter a new market further strengthening our presence in the Sub Saharan region. The company’s range of products has achieved growing success in the last decade in various African countries and we are confident we’ll find additional opportunities in this region in the future.”

“It gives us great pleasure to receive our VIP-configured Grand helicopter," added Liza Transport International CEO, Mr Bankoungou. "This purchase represents the first step of a strategy which will enable our company to become the benchmark for helicopter transport, aviation operations and VIP services across the entire Western Africa region.”
