Cutter Aviation Acquires Prescott, Arizona FBO

Legend Aviation of Regional Airport Joins the Privately Held GA Ops Company

Cutter Aviation has purchased Legend Aviation of Prescott, Arizona, bringing the FBO into the fold.

The company is the oldest family owned and operated general aviation company in the United States, and will soon bring their expertise to bear on the unique atmosphere of Prescott Regional Airport with their operation of a Part 145 repair station for local aircraft maintenance needs.

The company describes their new site, describing the amenities present as just what crews and passengers need when flying into the distinctly Arizonan locale.

"Expanding on 12 acres, Cutter Aviation PRC complex consists of 6,684 square feet of office area and 20,048 square feet of aircraft maintenance hangar space," said Cutter.

For those pilots dropping off customers to enjoy some cooler summertime weather, the facilities also offer "a conference room, flight-planning area, crew car and concierge service." The addition follows the recent acquisition of a few other small airport operators, with Aerojet and GTU Jet, of Georgetown, Texas. In all, Cutter now operates 9 locations in general aviation service, addressing all the routine needs of aircraft and operators from fuel to maintenance.

“Cutter is very excited to make this investment in Prescott Regional Airport and to become part of its aviation community,” said Will Cutter, president and CEO of his eponymous aviation company. “We look forward to continuing providing the highest level of service to the tenants and transient clients of Prescott Regional Airport.”
