Mid-Atlantic Region Gets New CubCrafters Dealership

Ray And Melisa Fowler Rep Aircraft Across Six States

CubCrafters, well-known manufacturer of backcountry aircraft in Experimental, Light Sport, and Part 23 Certified classes, announced that Ray and Melisa Fowler with Adventure Flying LLC will become new members of the company’s Certified Sales Centers representing CubCrafters in the Mid-Atlantic region.

The Fowlers' territory includes Kentucky, North Carolina, South Carolina, Tennessee, Virginia, and West Virginia. They will be managing the sales of new, used, and kit aircraft across those states and are offering demo flights in the Carbon Cub UL with the new Rotax 916iS engine as well as the XCub, the company’s FAA-certified flagship model.

Pat Horgan, CubCrafters President said, “Our Dealers are charged with building strong backcountry user communities while providing best-of-class support for our customers, and we are confident that Ray and Melisa Fowler can do both. Their professionalism and experience are befitting of both the CubCrafters brand and our customer expectations.”

The Fowlers are eager for their opportunity, saying, “Whether you’re new to tailwheel flying or a seasoned Cub pilot, Adventure Flying would love to help you find your next flying adventure. We’re excited to bring CubCrafters’ legendary backcountry performance and craftsmanship to the Mid-Atlantic region.”

Melisa and Ray are both Airbus A320 pilots with Delta Airlines and Certified Flight Instructors. They bring an abundance of knowledge, experience, and enthusiasm to their new endeavor in the growing CubCrafters community. Both are deeply involved in aviation including tailwheel instruction for new pilots and flying World War II-era warbirds at air shows and museums around the country.

Ray “Hollywood” Fowler served for 28 years in the U.S. military flying F-16s in combat missions in Operation Iraqi Freedom and Operation Enduring Freedom. He just recently flew his final flight in the F-35 Lightning II for the Air National Guard. He is an FAA Designated Pilot Examiner and a Specialty Aircraft Examiner.
