Virtual Fly Has Landed At Aurora, IL

Virtual Fly Has Landed At J.A. Flight Training At Aurora Municipal (ARR), Illinois

Earlier this year, Virtual Fly North America showcased its offerings at Sun n Fun 2022, where they sought to provide a full-service experience to flight schools and training centers with flight simulators that were realistic replicas of popular training aircraft. Virtual Fly recently announced that it delivered and installed four simulators at the J.A. Flight Training center in Aurora, Illinois.

In its stables, J.A. Flight Training now has Advanced Aviation Training Devices (AATDs’) for a Cessna 172, a Cessna 182RG, as well as a Diamond DA40/G1000, and a full-motion “OnTop Duo” of the DA40. The Cessna’s cost about $130,000, the DA40/G1000 about $40,000, and the latter approximately $70,000 USD. J.A. Flight training intends to get its money’s worth by using them for their flight training programs and, by housing them in a showroom, to possibly entice future customers of Virtual Fly to try before they buy.

J.A. Flight Training, founded in 2006, began life as a part 61 flight training facility, and is now a part 141 FAA-approved slight school training students through to Airline Transport Pilot (ATP). It also engages in Part 135 charter operations, in addition to aircraft leasing, and is a flow-through pilot supplier to Southern Airways Express, a commuter airline headquartered in Palm Beach, Florida. Southern Airways was founded in 2013 and services 22 destinations across the USA with an employee complement of over 550 of which 240+ are pilots.
