Piper M700 FURY Certified in Europe, Brazil, Australia

Good News For Customers Awaiting Deliveries

Piper Aircraft announced that its M700 FURY has received type certifications from the European Union Aviation Safety Association (EASA), the Agência Nacional de Aviação Civil in Brazil, and the Civil Aviation Safety Authority (CASA) in Australia.

This is good news for customers in these regions who have been waiting months to take delivery of their aircraft, which are due to begin very shortly. The certifications cover flight into known icing (FIKI) and unpaved surfaces.

The M700 FURY is Piper’s fastest single-engine aircraft in its history with a max cruise speed of 301 knots and range of 1,424 nautical miles. Its powerplant is the Pratt & Whitney PT6A-52 turboprop engine. The six-place aircraft has a standard useful load of 2,320 lbs/1,052 kg.

The G3000 avionics suite comes with Autothrottle, Emergency Descent Mode, Electronic Stability Protection (ESP), Surface Watch, and SafeTaxi for enhanced pilot control and situational awareness.

The aircraft is also equipped with the HALO Safety System with Garmin’s Emergency Autoland as well as an electromechanical expulsion FIKI system on the tail and wing leading edges.

John Calcagno, President & CEO of Piper Aircraft noted, "The EASA, ANAC, and CASA certifications are significant milestones for the M700 FURY. These approvals reinforce our commitment to delivering a world-class aircraft with exceptional performance, safety, and versatility to key international markets."
