Registration Open for 2023 Wings Over Women Conference

STEM Focused Event Offers Boost to Fledgling Female Aviators

Registration is open for the International Women’s Air & Space Museum’s (IWASM) 2022 Wings of Women (WOW) STEM Conference.

The event is aimed at providing female students from middle to high school ages with an accessible, tailored STEM experience. Hands-on activities, career guidance, and mentorship help to provide a stimulating, educational environment for all attendees, with keynote speakers perfectly chosen to jumpstart enthusiastic youth into a promising field. 

The 2023 WOW Conference will see speeches from Dr. Claudette Owens, Electrical Engineer, Cybersecurity Expert, and retired US Army Colonel; in addition to Chief Operating Officer of Veteran Victory Alliance Mary Miller. Additional speakers will come around from joined by other women in natural and wildlife sciences, aviation manufacturing, aerospace engineering, astronomy, and more.

The conference will be held on October 14, 2023, from 8:00 am to 2:00 pm. Registration is free, but prior application is required. Attendees get a 'light breakfast', lunch, a t-shirt, and a plethora of information about colleges and universities nationwide. Registration is required by October 11, 2023.
