747 Cargo Plane Down In Nigeria

Crew Members Walk Away -- Shaken, Not Stirred

A Hydro Air Cargo 747 crash landed at the international airport in Lagos, Nigeria, Saturday. All seven crew members of the Belgian aircraft survived the incident, although some were treated for their injuries.

The aircraft (file photo, above) was landing on Runway 19R when the incident occurred. Details are still sketchy as to the circumstances of the accident. The runway was reportedly closed pending an investigation by the Nigerian Air Ministry. Reporters were barred from the scene for "security reasons."

Even the aircraft's route is murky. While one Nigerian newspaper reports the flight originated in Brussels, another says it was en route from Luxembourg to Johannesburg, South Africa with a stop in Lagos.
