FAA Approves Hazon To Conduct Infrastructure Inspections For Hire

Use Of The Aircraft Will Lower Inspection Costs, Company Says

The FAA has given authorization to Hazon Solutions LLC (Hazon) of Virginia Beach, VA to conduct commercial aerial infrastructure inspections with unmanned aircraft systems (sUAS).

“The commercial application of sUAS will increase the safety and lower the costs of infrastructure inspections, which are vital to the country. Hazon procedures used during UAV operations are founded on the same high reliability operations principles and sound risk mitigation procedures we used our entire careers in Naval aviation and Nuclear power generation.” stated Hazon CEO, David Culler.

Hazon leveraged a highly successful FAA endorsed test programs to be one of the first UAS service companies in Virginia to be approved to conduct commercial sUAS infrastructure inspections.

“Eleven months ago, Hazon commenced a process that enabled us to team with the FAA, Virginia Tech and our customers to validate our systems, procedures and training. The FAA’s approval of Hazon to operate commercially is the culmination of those efforts,” said Mark Genung, Hazon’s Chief Engineer.
