Piper Achieves AS9100 Certification

Milestone In Manufacturing Excellence In Aerospace

Piper Aircraft announced it has achieved AS9100 Rev D Certification, recognizing the company’s dedication to manufacturing excellence in the aerospace industry.

The AS9100, awarded by Dekra Certification, Inc., is an internationally recognized quality management system that is standard in aerospace. Beyond enhancing Piper Aircraft’s 88+ year legacy in general aviation, it also bolsters the capabilities of its new division, Piper Industrial Manufacturing Company (PIMCO). PIMCO specializes in premium end-to-end manufacturing solutions for the aerospace and defense sectors.

Stuart McSorley, Senior Director of Production Compliance & Oversight said, “The AS9100 certification elevates quality across Piper Aircraft, creating a strong foundation for continuous improvement. This certification empowers PIMCO to enter a broader network of opportunities worldwide, enabling us to serve our customers more effectively and establish new partnerships. Our team takes immense pride in this achievement, which marks another milestone in Piper's history.”

Piper Aircraft is headquartered in Vero Beach, Florida, and is dedicated to continuous improvement as it delivers quality and service to its customers. It has provided reliable single and twin-engine aircraft to aviators since William T. Piper purchased Taylor Brothers in 1937 and founded the Piper Aircraft Corporation in Lock Haven, Pennsylvania.

Piper was the first general aviation aircraft manufacturer in the world to certify Garmin Autoland. Its single-engine M-class aircraft offers businesses and individuals high-end performance and value.
