Quest Aircraft Company has signed an agreement for its acquisition by Setouchi Holdings Inc., a member of Tsuneishi Group. Tsuneishi Group is a well-established global entity headquartered in Hiroshima, Japan with roots in the shipbuilding, transportation and related industries.

On February 12th, the first jet powered SubSonex kit left Sonex Aircraft headquarters in Oshkosh, destined for a customer in Durango, Colorado. This is the first in a series of seven kit deliveries included in the first kit production run. Before the end of February, two more kits will be delivered to customers in Ontario Canada and Pennsylvania, with kit deliveries to Missouri, Kentucky, and Oklahoma to follow soon. The seventh kit will be delivered to New South Wales, Australia. If you ever wanted to own your own spaceport, now’s your chance. New Mexico State Senator George Munoz has introduced legislation in the New Mexico legislature to put Spaceport America up for sale. The proposal comes after the accident involving Virgin Galactic's SpaceShipTwo, which has pushed the first commercial flights from Spaceport America back at least another year. Virgin Galactic is the anchor tenant for the facility. All this... and MORE in today's episode of Airborne!!!
