Modern Aviation Acquires KFTW's American Aero

With The Addition Of This Location, Modern Aviation Operates 17 FBOs In The U.S. And Puerto Rico

The FBO world keeps churning through owners and properties at an astounding rate.  

Modern Aviation reports that it has closed the acquisition of the FBO American Aero, which operates at Fort Worth Meacham International Airport (KFTW) in Fort Worth, Texas from an affiliate of Keystone Group, L.P.

Modern Aviation’s CEO Mark Carmen, reports, “We are thrilled to have officially expanded our footprint to the high growth DFW area. On behalf of Modern Aviation, I’d like to extend a warm welcome to our new team members and customers at this location. We look forward to continuing American Aero’s dedication to providing world-class customer service and safety.” 

All the employees of American Aero have joined Modern Aviation. With the addition of this location, Modern Aviation operates 17 FBOs in the U.S. and Puerto Rico, including ILM, APA, BFI, SIG, JFK, LGA, ISP, FOK, FRG, MHR, SAC, SMF, DSM and FTW.

Modern Aviation is reportedly undertaking a strategy to acquire and develop FBO operations in growth markets... they also report that they are actively engaged in pursuing additional FBO acquisitions and development opportunities in North America and the Caribbean. Who's next?
