From 2019 (YouTube Edition): The Lindbergh Foundation Prepares For An Important Anniversary

The Lindbergh 100th anniversary campaign is a global program pursuing decarbonization and noise reduction in aviation. The aim is to inspire students, enable innovators, reward achievements, and spur innovation. The campaign will reach a crescendo in May of 2027, the 100th anniversary of Charles Lindbergh’s New York to Paris flight.

The campaign's activities will consist of a carefully designed mix of competitions, talks, and awards.

Success is defined as setting the aviation industry on a clear trajectory toward decarbonization and noise reduction within a timeframe that reflects the urgency of the need, as well as driving a significant influx of talent into work that addresses clean and quiet flight.

This year at AirVenture, Aero-News' Rex Alexander spoke with Erik Lindbergh, the grandson of Charles Lindbergh and the founder of The Lindbergh Foundation about their plans for the anniversary.
