Safe Flight Announces Two New Autopower STCs

Now Available In Hawker Series And Gulfstream G150

Safe Flight Instrument Corporation of White Plains, NY announced at NBAA the issuance of two new STC’s for their Automatic Throttle System, AutoPower. West Star Aviation has received an FAA STC for AutoPower installations in Hawker 900, 850, 800, and 750 Business Jets. Headquartered in Grand Junction, Colorado, West Star Aviation is immediately offering installation of the AutoPower system.

“We are excited about this partnership with Safe Flight which will provide Hawker customers a highly anticipated Automatic Throttle System,” said Rick Brainard, Vice President of Sales for West Star Aviation. “This is a full authority system with takeoff to touchdown capabilities, a system that will add value by bolstering the performance and safety of the Hawker 800 Series aircraft.”

Gulfstream Aerospace also received an STC for AutoPower system installations in Gulfstream G150 Business Jets. The G150 AutoPower System’s technology is tailored and manufactured specifically for Gulfstream by Safe Flight, providing accurate airspeed control and engine target settings using a smooth, pilot-in-the-loop thrust lever control.

The latest iteration of the AutoPower system includes Angle of Attack-referenced minimum speed, Vmo and Mmo limit protection, retard mode at 50 feet AGL to decrease the touchdown dispersion point, and cruise speed accuracy of +2, -0 knots. AutoPower is also the only auto-throttle system available for retrofit, both extending range and increasing the endurance of aircraft equipped with the system. Safe Flight first pioneered AutoPower more than 50 years ago; the system has since proved reliable on more than 9,000 corporate, commercial, and military aircraft.
