Aerobility Raises Record Highs at Aviators Ball 2023

Annual Fundraising Effort Successful

A "record-breaking" £130,000 was raised by Aerobility at its annual Aviators Ball, with all funds going towards helping disabled people to experience flight.

Prizes on hand ranged from flights aboard a Douglas C47 to an autographed RAF Red Arrows flying suit, alongside more than 95 unique aviation-themed items were up for grabs in Aerobility’s auctions running throughout the night. When all's said and done, the group had raised £130,000 through bids and donations, blowing away previous records.

The Aviators Ball is Aerobility’s biggest fundraising event of the year, bringing out more than 450 guests from across the region in all records of the British industry. This year saw attendees include the Bristow Group, 2Excel, London Biggin Hill Airport, NATS, Nicholson McLaren Aviation, Aerobytes, Gallagher and Breitling. Also on hand to present awards included the Royal Air Force's Red Arrows, with the Pooleys Aviator Sword given to the Aviator of the Year Mike McClelland.

“Everyone at Aerobility has been blown away by the support we have received at the ball this year," said Aerobility CEO Mike Miller-Smith. "We had a fantastic night, and all funds raised will go directly into helping people with disabilities to take the skies and live their dreams. We are extremely grateful.”
