Balloon Festival 6-8 May 2022 In Lakeland, FL

Hot Air Balloon Festival 6-8 May 2022 At Sun n Fun Site In Lakeland, FL

Hot on the heels of Sun n Fun (SnF) 2022 with a bit of déjà vu we are compelled to inform you that there is a Balloon Festival weekend scheduled to take place from 6 - 8 May 2022, at Lakeland Linder International Airport.

Yes, its in the same place where SnF2022 was held just a few weeks earlier. So maybe you didn’t need to give up that tent/rental, or move your RV!  You could probably have just rolled right into this Balloon Festival.

There are deals and specials to be had, especially if you order your desired services online! As with SnF, you can get one-day admission, family passes, and on-site camping (for tents and RV’s). If you prefer the luxury of hotel accommodation, the organizers offer recommendations. Apparently booking 2 nights of camping will get you an exclusive 3-day pass. In the spirit of something for everyone, expect live entertainment, balloon night glow (not airshow), carnival, helicopter and tethered balloon rides!

This is the second annual Balloon Festival.  For those concerned about mask mandates, the Central Florida ‘Covid Advisory’ states that “as of this time, masks are not required by any Polk County Florida municipalities, though certain business may require guests to wear masks.”
