Missing Gyroplane Found

An ALNOT (ALert NOTice) has been canceled, and the news isn't good: The Air and Space America gyroplane of Dr. John Barr, of Marion (KS), has turned up near Watertown (SD).

Wreckage of the craft, located Wednesday, was burned; the pilot was not alive when located.

The flight began Sunday night in Kansas, and flew into what a local paper called, "rainy and windy" weather in South Dakota. A refueling stop in Sioux Falls was the last recorded sighting, until the wreckage was discovered.
