Wings Over the Rockies to Host Career Symposium

Colorado Organization Promotes Aviation Careers and S.T.E.M. Scholarship

Colorado’s Wings Over the Rockies organization will host its second annual, Aviation Careers Symposium at its Exploration of Flight Center in Englewood, CO. The 11 June event will feature over 25 organizations from across the aviation industry, to include airlines, flight schools, military aviation, high school and collegiate programs, UAV operators, and more.

Designed to encourage people of all ages and backgrounds to pursue careers in aviation, the event promotes education, networking, and scholarships—particularly in S.T.E.M. disciplines.

Wings Over the Rockies President and CEO Maj. Gen. John Barry, USAF (Ret.) states, “With the nation’s second largest aerospace economy, Colorado’s industry is full of opportunities in aviation as well as in science, technology, engineering, and mathematics.”

In addition to information and career guidance, event attendees will enjoy static displays of military and civilian aircraft such as the F-16 Falcon, the F-18 Hornet, Beechcraft’s King Air, UAVs, and more.

Dedicated to curating aviation’s past and ensuring its future through exhibitions, events, and educational programs. Wings Over the Rockies comprises the eponymous, Air and Space Museum in Hangar #1 of Denver’s historic [former], Lowry Air Force Base, and the Exploration of Flight Center at Centennial Field in Englewood, CO. The two facilities welcome visitors from across America and around the world to enjoy their iconic aircraft, space vehicles, artifacts, military uniforms and memorabilia, and flight simulators.
