CAF Announces Four New Hall of Fame Inductees

Induction Ceremony Scheduled for March 1, 2025

The Commemorative Air Force (CAF) announced its 2025 Hall of Fame selections on October 10. The four new members will be inducted on March 1, 2025, during the CAF Conference at the Dallas Executive Airport (RBD).

“These individuals have been selected for their outstanding service, dedication, and contributions to preserving aviation history,” the CAF stated. “Their remarkable careers and deep commitment to the CAF mission inspires fellow members and aviation enthusiasts worldwide.”

The first inductee is CAF Platinum Colonel Rick Bell. He joined the CAF in 1998 and has taken up several roles within the organization, such as being a former member of its General Staff and a current New Unit Mentor. In his 26 years of service with the CAF, Bell has dedicated himself to 16 different CAF Units.

Beth Jenkins, a CAF Life Member Colonel, is the second inductee. She has been a member for over 35 years, taking on positions like Unit Leader, Finance Officer, and Operations Officer for the Devil Dog Squadron. Jenkins also served as lead pilot on the iconic B-25 Devil Dog. Her recruitment efforts have drawn more than 120 new members into the organization.

The third selection is CAF Colonel Ray Norton, who has worked with the CAF for 45 years. For 31 of these, he became the CAF’s voice as the designated announcer for shows in Harlingen and Midland. Norton resumed this role at the Wings Over Houston and Rio Grande Valley Airshows. From 2012 to 2023, he was named Lead Narrator for the TORA TORA TORA reenactment show.

The final honor posthumously goes to Lonnie Thomas “Tommy” Reedy Jr. He entered the CAF in March of 1972, playing a crucial role in the TORA TORA TORA reenactment’s success. Reedy developed the show’s original routine and flight plan, earning him the “father” title of TORA TORA TORA. Outside of the show, he was an active business partner with J.K. West and an involved CAF member. Despite his death in 1983, Reedy’s legacy has been carried on through the organization and its community.

“The CAF Hall of Fame is a testament to their unwavering commitment to honoring the past, inspiring the future, and ensuring that the stories of aviation history are shared with the world,” the organization continued.
