Falcon Aviation Orders VVIP-Configured AW139 Helicopter

Leonardo Extends Long Partnership At Paris Air Show

The Paris Air Show chalked up another aircraft deal as Leonardo and Falcon Aviation Services announced a new order for an AW139 twin-engine intermediate helicopter. The aircraft was ordered by Falcon’s owner, His highness Sheikh Dr. Sultan Bin Khalifa Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, and will feature a VVIP 8-seat configuration, hinged doors, and other comfort and entertainment equipment.

Falcon Aviation is one of UAE’s larger aviation service providers and will operate the helicopter for VVIP charter missions. The new aircraft is expected to enhance the company’s high-end offerings in the region when it enters service in 2027.

The acquisition demonstrates Falcon Aviation’s commitment to delivering world-class, technologically advanced air transportation solutions in the UAE and the region.

The deal also exemplifies Leonardo’s commitment to providing cutting-edge regional and global VIP and corporate helicopter transportation options, and the company holds 40% by value of the global market share in the twin-engine segment.

Leonardo’s VIP and corporate offerings are represented by the Agusta brand that provides an acclaimed combination of high performance, advanced technology, a high level of customization, and latest standards of certification for its flight experience.

The AW139 has proven successful, with 1500 units ordered by more than 300 customers in 90 nations. Its 4.5 million flight hours logged to date since it was certified in 2004 demonstrate its reliability in a wide variety of missions.
