Stellar Aviation Acquires Horizon Aviation At Abraham Lincoln Capital Airport

Considered Leading FBO Provider At KSPI

Stellar Aviation Group recently acquired Horizon Aviation, located at the Abraham Lincoln Capital Airport in Springfield, IL (KSPI). The company has been the leading FBO service provider at KSPI, according to a company news release.

"This new location is the strategic cornerstone for our growing FBO Network as we look to expand further throughout the important Midwestern region," said Jonathan Miller, President of Stellar Aviation Group. "It is with great pleasure we welcome all of Horizon’s dedicated employees and discerning clientele to the Stellar family.”

The Abraham Lincoln Capital Airport, under strong leadership and management, has grown its infrastructure and services throughout the last decade. The Airport currently provides extensive airline service and military support. Additionally, KSPI hosts a robust and growing GA and Corporate Aircraft community. Airport Director Mark Hanna states, “We are pleased to welcome Stellar Aviation to the Springfield community as they will bring a wealth of operational experience and innovation to our airport. We are excited to have them as a partner to further grow and develop our general and corporate aviation sectors, especially as we begin a major redevelopment project that will transform the FBO into a first rate facility. Together, we look forward to a bright and prosperous future for GA and corporate aviation in Springfield, IL.”

With the Airport’s new GA terminal and hangar rehabilitation project on the horizon to house Stellar, Springfield’s infrastructure will be significantly enhanced to meet its growing visitors and business groups. Stellar looks forward to rolling out the red carpet, offering unparalleled service and being an ambassador and committed resource for the Airport.

“We’re excited to see Stellar’s continued success and expansion with this strategic acquisition of Horizon’s operations at KSPI,” said Dan Gallogly, Vice President EPIC Fuels. “We’re proud to be a trusted supplier to Stellar, an organization that like EPIC, provides unsurpassed levels of service and satisfaction to its customers. We look forward to helping fuel Stellar’ s success at KPSI and at each step along the way in their future growth.”
