Columbia Air Services-Rutland Names New GM, Hosts Vermontfest Fly-In

Nice Way To Say Welcome Aboard!

Columbia Air Services-Rutland says it's named Chris Reece, a former detective with the Guildford County, NC, Sheriff's Department as its new general manager. Reece, a Jamaica, VT, resident, has been assistant manager at Columbia's Rutland Airport facility since 2003 and is experienced in line services and aircraft sales.

Columbia also announced it is hosting the 2005 "Vermontfest" fly-in on Saturday, October 1st, 0900 to 1600. Aircraft will be on display and for sale, and a wide range of aviation industry vendors will be present. Other exhibitors will include area artisans, members of Vermont's agricultural community, and representatives from the region's resorts and attractions. Vendors can reserve free booth space by contacting Columbia Air Services at Rutland Airport. The rain date will be Sunday, October 2nd.

Columbia's Rutland FBO offers a new 24/7 self-service Jet A and AvGas 100LL fuel farm, in addition to its mobile fueling during regular business hours, and is a popular year-round travel destination. Located in Vermont's scenic Green Mountains, the facility is close to resorts such as Killington, Pico and Okemo, as well as numerous golf courses, galleries, outlets and historic sites.
