COPA M3 Concludes

Bigger Than Ever

The third annual Cirrus Owners and Pilots Association "Minnesota Migration" ended today as more than 135 Cirrus airplanes departed for home. The event is an opportunity for customers to reconnect, learn skills, network and see what's new.

"All the girls came home," said Kate Daugherty, a spokeswoman for Cirrus Design. The event brought several rows of sleek planes to park wingtip to wingtip outside the plant where they were built. (Photo: Justin Dillon)

Cirrus employees put a huge amount of work into the event and look forward to reconnecting with their customers each year. With over 300 registrants, this year's event was held in the Duluth Entertainment and Convention Center to accommodate the growing number of customers.

As Alan Klapmeier has said before, since Cirrus sells factory direct, most customers come to Duluth to take training and delivery. Because of this, they get to know their customers, and they become family.

The event included training opportunities with Cirrus Flight Instructors, a factory tour, seminars, a trade show with more than 50 vendors, and of course, food and fun.

Dale Klapmeier watched the steady stream of glistening Cirri taxiing for take off. As each plane took to the sky, his eyes followed each one up through the clouds until they were no longer visible. Inside, they could follow them home on the computer screen. Here's looking forward to next year!
