ERAU Prescott Wins SAFECON 2005

Golden Eagles Flying High

By ANN Contributor Mark W. Dickey

The "Golden Eagles" from Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University's Prescott, AZ campus have captured the National Championship Trophy (sponsored by Cessna Aircraft Company) for the '05 season.

It was not an easy victory. First, they battled the nasty Spring elements (rain, cold temps, and the standard Kansas winds), then they had to overcome the University of North Dakota (2nd place) and Western Michigan (3rd place), who were attempting to snatch victory from Eagles.
